What Jaxon Wants.
What do you want for Christmas? A new movie, new clothes, maybe even a new car? We all want something...think hard.
Now I want you to write that wish down on a sticky note or a scrap piece of paper. Write it big. "I want _____". Stick it where you'll see it everyday. The fridge door, the bathroom mirror, your bedroom door. Wherever you'll see it, that's where I want you to put it.
Now, think of little Jaxon. Take a good look at his picture. Print it out. Stick it next to your post it note. Hang it up. Now, think of what Jaxon wants.
For Christmas, Jaxon doesn't want new toys, a new movie or even a new blanket. Jaxon wants a FAMILY. That's all he's asking for, a family that will love him and care for him. A mommy to rock him to sleep at nite, a daddy to teach him how to catch a base ball. Jaxon doesn't just want a family, he deserves one. Denied a family at birth because he was born with an extra chromosome.
I challenge you to look at Jaxon's picture every morning, every evening...and as you look at his picture next to your want written out, think of which is more important.
Maybe you have new boots written down. How many pairs of shoes do you have already? If you're an average American, you probably have more than you need. More clothes, electronics, toys, games, movies...
And all Jaxon wants is a family. I'm asking you to donate to his FSP. Make a donation to help his family bring him home. Make his dream come true...a family. Price out the cost of what you originally wrote down...I wrote down a pair of Vera Wang black boots...$80. Instead of buying myself those boots, I'm committing to giving $80 towards Jaxon's adoption fund. I challenge you to do the same...give the amount of your greatest "want" to help Jaxon get what he needs...a family.
Check back on my blog each week for new ways to pray for Jaxon...here's the list for this week.
November 1st - Pray for Jaxon's health. Pray he has a healthy heart, and that if he is fighting any type of virus or cold, that he would fight it off quickly and without any problems.
November 2nd - Pray that Jaxon knows he is loved. Pray that when he is upset, he knows that someone loves him and is praying for him.
November 3rd - Pray for Jaxon's caregivers. Pray that they would have a personal relationship with Jesus and that they would know how important their job truly is...caring for God's precious children.
November 4th - Pray for Jaxon's mom. She may or may not have seen his picture yet, she may or may not know that God's plan for her is to adopt. Pray that her heart would be ready when God tells her that she is Jaxon's mommy.
November 5th - Pray for all the kids that Jaxon shares a room with. Pray for them as they too wait for a family. Pray for these children who wait for their families to step up and say yes.

Meet Jaxon
Precious baby boy,
waiting for his family,
waiting all alone.
Jaxon is 6 months old, he was born in May of 2011. He has beautiful blue eyes, and light brown baby hair. Did you look at his picture? Did you look into his eyes? This precious baby boy was abandoned, left to grow up in an orphanage simply because he was blessed with an extra chromosome. He lives in Eastern Europe, in a country where anyone born "different" is considered a burden to their family and their community. He has lived in an orphanage his entire life. He is blessed to be in a baby home where the children receive enough food. But he has never known a mothers love. He has never had a daddy to cheer him on, a mommy to kiss away the tears and rock him to sleep. He doesn't know what sunshine on his skin feels like, or how it feels to stick your toes in the grass. He's never seen a puppy dog, never had a teddy bear of his own.
Jaxon is available for adoption through Reece's Rainbow, www.reecesrainbow.org. He is available to a single mom is is 25 or older, or a married couple, as long as both husband and wife are under 60. His country requires 2 trips, the first for court, the 2nd for court and to bring their precious son home. You can read more about the family requirements for Jaxon here: http://reecesrainbow.org/category/waitingbycountry/russia/russia-region-15
The total fee for his adoption is about $28,000. No, that is not a typo. International adoption costs a lot, but with your help it will be possible for Jaxon's family to bring him home. Consider going to his reeces rainbow page, www.reecesrainbow.org/jaxon and click on the yellow "donate" button. I will also be doing a fundraiser of some sort later on.
I have agreed to be Jaxon's Christmas warrior - with a goal of raising $1,000 for him. Luke 1:37 "For NOTHING is impossible with God", and I firmly believe that. Help me take a stand for this precious baby boy.
Speaking up for him,
being a voice for Jaxon,
pray for his mom.
